Week 3 of Jake's journey

So Jake had his third chemo treatment today. He is doing great. The chemo med he's had these last two weeks is mild so he has been running around and playing. He even fights with his siblings which is actually nice to see. We had a little scare last friday when he got a fever and had to go to Primary Children's. Ofcourse it happened right when I arrived in Koosharem. Luckily Jen's sister was staying over so Jen and her almost pulled an all nighter. They got back home at 4:30 am. Because of the chemo if he gets a fever over 101 he has to go in immediately and get a shot of antibiotics. His white blood cell count was high so his body was fighting something. Thankfully his fever went down and he was doing fine the next day. Thanks to aunt Shelly, I was able to stay in Koosharem saturday and hunt pheasants. I've since been informed that I can't leave anymore so it's good we had an awesome hunt. Next week he gets a different med that will slow him down a bit so we'll enjoy it while we can. Jen buzzed his hair so it wouldn't be such a shock when he loses his hair. I think I'm next. Things are on track. The docotors believe his tumor is shrinking and are still planning on surgery around week six. Thanks for all your support and prayers. It has definitely put things in perspective. We're very thankful for our family and friends that have helped us out.
